Learning to Sew Part II

Punky Plum Pudding

My custom of the day is a one of a kind Tailor Gibson Blythe I call Punky Plum Pudding. As you can see, I went for the punk rock theme. What punk rocker doesn’t dye their hair? Especially in the color black. So I dyed it black and added some purple haze streaks. She has new make-up and sleep eyes. The eye shadow is airbrushed in gradation of deep plum and black. Her lips are a deep plum color also. She comes in the rocking outfit with leather jacket and I’m currently taking offers on her. The offers acceptance expires at 10pm Arizona time. So, I finally got a sewing machine and am learning how to use it. I made my first unsupervised successful A-line dress. I have Shannon modeling it in the picture below. I got a lot of help from some fellow local Blythe addicts. We had a little mini meet Saturday and traded secrets on sewing and customizing. Becca aka SewPixie brought me a really cool Blythe carrier that she made and I highly recommend them. And Candace of Candy’s Creations brought me the beautiful brown and pink dress that Fern is wearing also in the picture below.

We plan to have a bigger meet with some other Blythesters in Tucson next month. It will be nice to see the faces behind the avatars.
