Here’s a new reroot I worked on all weekend and yesterday. I had to fill the void of my previous reroot. I took CCS White Hazy Wind Orange and turned her into a BT06 Black. I only had pictures to go by but I think I got it pretty close. I love her either way and am quite happy with how she came out.
Now I need to get to painting some doll heads. Rerooting took up all of my time aside from the usual tending to my little ones and the hubby and housework ect…
Today’s momoko shot is Akane, (Suite Choco) and Jill, (Sweet Poodle reroot).
I think the most fun part of working on these ooak dolls is when you create the dream doll for a fellow enthusiast. My Sweet Poodle reroot became one of these dolls. I wasn’t sure about selling her because I just fell in love with her and her new look but someone else wanted her even more and I had to oblige. Plus I know who she’s going to and this person is a very talented photographer that will take lots of great photos of her.
I thought it would be fun to take pictures of a pretend going away party and this is one of the shots I did. So as the new owner waits for her doll to arrive, she has some fun pictures to enjoy in the meantime.
My Obitsu Haruka head is off to it’s new owner as well. I have a Obitsu Gretel head to work on and another Haruka head as well. Plus some more 1/6 sized heads. Hopefully I can get something done this weekend.
Well, it took a while but I finally finished rerooting this Sweet Poodle I got for cheap and I just love her! I was planning on selling her but now I’m not so sure. I’ll have to enjoy her for a little bit and see if I can live without her. Maybe another reroot of another doll will make it easier to part with her. I was going to give her bangs but decided to leave her like this because it’s a totally different look for her since before she had bangs. If anyone is interested in purchasing her please contact me with an offer. Otherwise, I think I’ll keep her for now instead of selling her for too cheap on eBay. I spent so much time on this reroot I’d hate to let her go for too little. We’ll see. For now I will enjoy her 🙂
