I sure do love red hair…

I was commissioned to do a BT06 red copy so here’s a shot of mine and the customers. Which is which? I don’t know they’re twins. 😉 I honestly wouldn’t mind owning two. These two are so stunning. I’d really like to get my hands on the exact hair color from the original BT06 red. A friend of a friend who lives in Japan knows what company makes it but I guess it’s impossible to find. I guess CCS05AW red head Victorian Nature has the same exact color also. Perhaps that’s part of the fun of doll collecting though. Hunting for that prized doll that seems forever out of ones reach. I’m pretty happy with my copy though. It definitely slowed my hunt and need for the original BT06 red.

In between all these commissions my sale page looks pretty pathetic so I’m working on a Momoko re-root to put up for sale. Do check back in the next day or two here and on my sale page. Right now I have my custom Velvet Minuet Blythe doll up there and that’s it. Everything else sold so I’m trying to “restock” at least a little tidbit. Would love to do more but time just doesn’t permit.

The Hair in There

O.k. can you tell there’s just a lot of hair flying in my house? I’ve gotten behind on doing any kind of face-ups and mostly doing re-roots lately. And all these re-roots make me hungry to do my own doll especially when someone comes up with a cool idea like this new girl above. I just love this combination and style. I wouldn’t mind making her twin one day. She’s so hip and mod. Again off to NYC because she’s too cool for our house.

So another great dolly deal came along the other day and I jumped on it. This super cute 03AWyl Momoko was offered for sale for half off her original list price and I couldn’t pass up that bargain. She’s sooo cute and another one that reminds me of my girls.

So I took a day off from dolly projects to enjoy my collection and to organize them a little bit. But now I’ve got to get back to work. Hopefully I’ll have more cute finished dolls to show in a few days.

So I’m up to my ears in saran lately. Here’s one of my latest commissions. She’s a Mama Told Me but the customer has swiftly and fittingly re-named her “Don’t listen to Mama”. She’s been re-rooted in Caddy Red Katsilk and her eye-color and eyebrows were changed as well. The customer wanted a doll that was similar to the very rare and very expensive 04rxb. He was going to use 04DS as the base doll because she’s a very close match but decided on MTM instead. So she’s truly a ooak beauty. I absolutely love the results of this doll. I love the red hair especially. And with the black eyebrows…well I just really love this doll. I was sad to have to send her off already but she’s just a little too cool to be in our suburban home. Definitely an edgy New Yorker for sure. I hope to see many pictures of her and perhaps I’ll have to make her twin one day when I get the chance.

Now this one is Sakura Haruno from the Anime Naruto. She was previously a Groovy Girl Momoko. She’s another cutie. I love her pink hair. One of these days I’m going to do a pink haired doll for me. It’s funny because I use to hate pink but now I love it. I don’t know why. Very strange indeed.
